Under Mr. Vazquez’s guidance, Zuly received extensive professional training in Salsa, along with a background in gymnastics and jazz dance. As a member of Los Rumberos, she performed and taught workshops across the United States and internationally, captivating audiences with her energy and grace. Her distinctive style earned her multiple competition titles in Los Angeles, including the Salsa Contest held during the filming of the hit movie Dance With Me, starring Chayanne and Vanessa Williams.
When the world’s first online Salsa school, DanceOnBeat.com, launched, they selected Zuly Dextre as their host, recognizing her clarity, charisma, and teaching excellence.
Zuly has also served as a competition judge for Salsa and Bachata categories—including couples, solo male, and solo female divisions—in Orange County and Los Angeles, further solidifying her reputation as a respected figure in the Latin dance community.
With the ability to teach both leaders and followers, Zuly offers a deep understanding of partner connection, technique, and musicality. Her private and group lessons emphasize patience, clear communication, and authentic technique, helping students build confidence and joy on the dance floor—one step at a time.
